Starting off in an interesting part of Leith in the New Town, this gentle 11-mile ride takes in all the famous sites: Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Princes Street Gardens. Then it’s onwards to Holyrood Palace and the controversial Parliament building (I’m not a fan) before pedalling along a discussed railway line and the pretty Portobello Promenade. This is a great way to explore the city centre.
