With the world in lockdown - three weeks in isolation here in the UK and at least three weeks more to go, we thought we would round up some of the stand-out things that are happening online to help while away the hours.


Saturday 18 April 

Phantom of the Opera – 25th anniversary concert
Available until 7pm

Missed the Friday night performance of this special performance of the Phantom of the Opera filmed at the Royal Albert Hall, featuring Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine? Don't worry, it's available to view until 7pm.

Tune into this multi-hour digital and broadcast event, Together at Home to help support frontline healthcare workers and the World Health Organisation. Featuring appearances from Lady GaGa, Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Elilish, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Kesha, Lizzo, Niall Horan, Paul McCartney, Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, The Killers, Taylor Swift and many more!

The Big Night In

For one night only, BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief are coming together for a special night of television in The Big Night In,celebrating and rewarding those going the extra mile to support their communities in these troubled times. The star-studded show will feature some of the country’s favourite famous faces trying to support, entertain, cheer up and help the nation. There’s no better excuse to get comfy on the sofa!

The UK comes together every Thursday to Clap for our Carers - our selfless NHS and frontline workers.


There is plenty of other things to keep you entertained too: 


Cirque De Soleil have uploaded 60-minute specials featuring awe-inspiring moments from their best shows! 


The Show Must Go On! features all our favourite musicals which have been uploaded to a dedicated You Tube page. 


For ballet classes and stunning stage performances, follow the English National Ballet on Facebook. 


Love Harry Potter? Check out JK Rowling’s new Harry Potter at Home, full of quizzes, puzzles, drawing guides and so much more including an on-line sorting-hat ceremony when you first register! 


Love Take That? Don’t miss Gary Barlow’s Crooner Sessions where he invites a different well-known artist (and some fans) to join him for a spot of signing. 


Fancy joining a Virtual Pub Quiz? They are adding new quizzes all the time, so check them out… if you are up for the challenge. 


There is even some free online training courses available courtesy of Harvard (how good would that look on your CV!).
